3 Floors to Explore
On crossing the threshold and stepping down into the family business Oakapple Trading Company, it is exciting to realise that there is a whole world of beautiful and quirky goodies to investigate over 3 floors and a total of 5 rooms in a 17th Century building which has lived through many incarnations. The range of furniture suits the modern country lifestyle and a bespoke service can also be provided. Everything you see is available to take home except Wilfred the border terrier, and the staff are always very happy to have a chat and answer any questions you may have.
The stone and brick walls are a testament to the age and character of the shop and are covered with a mixture of clocks, mirrors, pictures and wall art. Through a variety of creative buying, the comfortable button back chairs are draped in the soft natural sheepskin throws and textured velvet, lambswool or linen cushions.
With a variety of lampshades, throws, cushions and sheepskins, the top floor is a showcase for some of the larger and more striking lighting, mirrors and coffee tables. Bring in your table lamp and we can find a shade to suit, or bring in your swatches and we can match throws and cushions to your colour scheme. The top floor gives us some space to play around with your designs.
With 3 rooms across the ground floor the spaces give themselves to a variety of hurricane lamps, outdoor mirrors and clocks, gardening treats, our magnificent dining tables and chairs, Cornishware, Emma Bridgewater and bedside lighting and furniture. We also have a comprehensive collection of St Eval candles be Branche d’Olive delicious room frangrances, diffusers and refills as found in the Manoir au Quatre Saisons.
